Campus Ministry
The Campus Ministry program is guided by the values of worship, service, and reflection.
With these values, we seek to nurture and grow in faith and build a stronger community centered in prayer. As a Catholic school, faith is integrated in all that we do so that all of our words and actions are a response to a Christ-centered life.
Purpose & Mission
Campus Ministry and the Theology Department uphold the centrality of religious education, spiritual formation, worship and prayer to the life and mission of the Archbishop Williams community.
Together these Departments develop the whole person: communally, intellectually, and spiritually. By providing opportunities for students to put their faith into action, the students are able to live out the Gospel message and values learned in the classroom.
Retreat Opportunities
Each year students attend a class retreat; these retreats are an opportunity to come together in prayer and build community. Our younger students participate in retreats that are the length of the school day. As the faith life of upperclassmen deepen in faith, juniors and seniors have the opportunity to attend an overnight retreat.
Ministries
Senior Leaders
Senior Leaders are an important part of AWHS as they lead by example in all aspects of school life. These seniors serve as mentors for students in grades 7, 8, and 9, lead underclassmen retreats, and are models and examples for the community
Bishops in Action
Students have the opportunity to put their faith into action by raising awareness around social justice and topical issues to the school community.
Liturgical Ministry
All students are invited to participate in our Eucharistic celebrations by being a reader, gift bearer, altar server, and member of the choir. Upperclassmen also have the opportunity to train as Eucharistic Ministers.
Encounter
Each cycle, students are invited to the chapel for prayer, reflection, or adoration to encounter the presence of God in their lives.
