TOURNAMENT TIME!!

For any student athlete, this is an exciting time of year. All those long hours of practice, rides on busses and games or meets lead to the goal of making the “cut”- a seeding in tournament play. Archbishop Williams High School has a long, glorious athletic history. Banners hang in our gym for CCL and State titles. This year is no different as our athletes in the Girls Basketball, Girls and Boys Hockey and Track programs are experiencing the thrill of having made it to tournament competition.

Retiring Head Coach Bill Kinsherf to be honored July 20 for 26 year career

Coach K built his coaching career entirely at AWHS, where he was inducted into the Hall of Fame as a coach and player in 2016. As coach, he has tallied 117 wins - the most of any coach in the school’s nearly 70 year history. He has coached through three Catholic Central League titles in the Large School Division, plus four playoffs and two Super Bowls. Following a perfect 10-0 regular season in 2002, Kinsherf was recognized as a Boston Globe “Coach of the Year.”

Girls Basketball team takes home State Championship trophy!

The Archbishop Williams High School Girls Varsity Basketball Team won the Division 3 State Championship against Hampshire Regional High School, 77-42, Saturday March 17 at Springfield College.
