Students are required to be in complete uniform everyday unless a day has been designated as “Mass Dress” or “Dress Down.”  Our uniform company is Flynn & O’Hara.  All uniforms must be purchased through their online store or by placing an order by phone.  Female students wear skorts or pants, and polo shirts or blouses with tights and dark shoes.  Male students wear khaki pants and polo shirts with belt and dark shoes.  

Designated “Mass Dress” days require male students to wear a shirt and tie and female students to wear a solid colored blouse.  Dress Down Days (aka "Bishops Days") are offered throughout the school year to promote an event or raise money for a charity (dress code rules apply). The school hours are 7:50 a.m. - 2:22 p.m.  Attendance is taken in all classes.  Students must be in their Block 1 class by 7:50 a.m.  Block 1 is an academic class so students will miss instruction if they are tardy.  Students may arrive to campus as early as 7:00 a.m., and supervision is provided.  There is no additional fee for the before-school supervision, and registration is not necessary.

Students are dismissed at 2:22 p.m.  Students may remain on campus if they have an appointment with a teacher or are involved in an organized activity or athletic event.  The Dignan Training Center is open to all students from 2:30 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.  Additionally, there is supervision provided after school until 5:00 p.m. for those students who are waiting for a ride.  There is no additional fee for the before or after-school supervision, and registration is not necessary.

All students are required to complete community service hours annually.  Grade 7 completes their service commitment as a class (no individual hours required). Grade 8 completes both class service projects and 10 individual hours.  Students in Grades 9-12 must ensure that they have completed the required 20 hours on their own or as part of one of the many activities/events organized by AWHS.  At a minimum, by graduation students will have fulfilled 80 hours of service to the community.  All hours must be documented on the AWHS Service Form based on the published deadlines.

Archbishop Williams uses the FACTS Management Company for collecting tuition payments.  All families must create a FACTS account.  Tuition can be paid in the following ways:
- One payment due July 1st (includes a $100 credit for paying in full, less a $5 fee from FACTS)
- Two payments due July 1st and December 1st (FACTS charges a $10 fee for utilizing this option)
- Ten Payments scheduled monthly beginning in July and ending in April (FACTS charges a $50 fee for utilizing this option)

Families of Archbishop Williams’ students do not pay an additional technology fee, athletic fee, or co-curricular fee. There is a $350 fee assessed to graduating Seniors during their final year.  Families are responsible for purchasing school uniforms from the AWHS uniform vendor, Flynn & O’Hara. All students in grades 9 - 12 are required to have a laptop.  Students in Grade 7 are given a Chromebook for the academic year.   Families purchase textbooks annually through MBS Direct, with a buy-back program at the end of the school year.  If a student chooses to purchase his/her lunch in the school dining hall, the student must upload money onto their student ID using their My Kids Spending account. Field trips and study abroad opportunities may be planned throughout the year, and students would incur the cost of admission and transportation, if applicable.

Conveniently located at the junction of Routes 3, 128 and 93, AWHS is very accessible.  Many students are driven to campus daily.  AWHS does provide a carpool list for interested families to help ease any transportation concerns.  The Quincy Adams Red Line station is a short walk from the AWHS campus providing easy access for the students living near a Red Line station or a Commuter Rail station.  The #230 MBTA bus stops directly in front of the school and runs throughout the day.  AWHS also offers daily, morning-only bus service from Dorchester and West Roxbury.  More information can be found here.
