The primary goals of the Social Studies Department, as part of a Christian, college-preparatory program, are to help our students develop an awareness and concern for all people, and to become responsible citizens in a democratic society.  

Objectives

• To examine historical and sociological events in light of moral values.
• To help students develop the skills necessary to think, read, write, and analyze effectively.
• To encourage students to develop the ability to think critically.
• To prepare students to meet the ethical, social, economic, and technological challenges that face them in today’s world and in the future.
