All Students entering Grades 9-12 for the 2021-2022 school year (except those taking AP English) must choose ONEbook from their grade level book list below ANDcomplete the High School Thematic Notebook Form (link below). AP students refer to your separate link.
AP Literature and Composition student must readALLof the following:

3. How To Read Literature Like A Professor (the revised edition) by Thomas Foster (ISBN 9780062301673)
AP English students must complete the question packet relating to How To Read Literature Like A Professor. Download the question packet here. The question packet will be collected the first day the students meet for class. If a student does not complete the question packet on time, they will not be permitted to remain in the course and will be moved to another English IV course that their schedule allows.
**AP Literature students DO NOT need to complete any additional summer assignments for English class.

Social Studies summer reads are listed below. All summer reads must be completed by the first day of class for the 2021-2022 Academic Year. Students will be assessed on their completion of their assigned summer read(s) within the first 1-2 week(s) of Quarter 1. Assessments may include any of the following: Discussion, Essay, Presentation, Quiz, Test, or other assessment of teacher choice with department approval.
