Goals:
The primary goals of the Social Studies Department, as part of a Christian, college- Preparatory program, are to help our students develop an awareness and concern for all people, and to become responsible citizens in a democratic society.
Objectives:
- to examine historical and sociological events in light of moral values;
- to help students develop the skills necessary to think, read, write, and analyze effectively;
- to encourage students to develop the ability to think critically;
- to prepare students to meet the social, economic, and technological challenges which face them in today’s world and in the future.
