Dear Friends,
Always proud. Never satisfied.
Four words. Our words. They describe our present. They define our future. First, we are proud of who we are. Why? I thought you'd never ask! We are proud because;
Merit Scholarships: We offer merit scholarships to our highest achieving students to reward and retain our “best and brightest."
Financial Aid: We award financial support to our families who face the strongest financial challenges.
Four Levels of Courses: College Preparatory, Accelerated, Honors and Advance Placement courses allow every student a chance to be challenged and comfortable; at the same time!
Small Classes: Small classes enhance education and relationships!
Dual Enrollment: Our juniors and seniors earn collegiate credit for courses they take in high school!
Virtual High School: We offer dozens of electives that can be taken on-line with students from all over the world.
Boston University Partnership: Our science students attend classes held at The Boston University School of Medicine and are taught by medical school faculty.
College Acceptance: The content of the SAT’s is imbedded into the curriculum of every academic subject we offer.
College Success: Our scholastic goal is more than college acceptance. It is college success. We stay close to our graduates and ask them what more we can do. Then, we do more!
Faith Formation: Our spiritual goal is to help our students embrace their faith in high school and to practice their faith in life.
Community Service: We expect character and we instruct character. Every AWHS student offers community service every year.
Unity: Our school has 10,000 graduates. Many of them "return home" to give their time, talent and treasure to our students. We are more than number one, we are one.
Athletics: We offer 24 sports. More than 65%+ of our students play at least one of these sport. We compete at the varsity, junior varsity and freshmen level.
Drama: 100+ of our students take part in our drama productions each year.
Fine Arts: We offer three levels of drawing. We also offer vocal music and instructional music courses; and have a chorus, liturgical choir and pep band!
Yes, we are always proud; and we are never satisfied. The biggest room in our school is the room for improvement. On our best days we will be great. On our worst days we will be good. And on every other day, we will keep getting better!
Be great with us. Get better with us.
Now have you got that? All that? Good! Just don't forget and look out world, because here comes Archbishop Williams High School!
Sincerely,
Carmen Mariano, Ed.D.
President
