Grandparents Night Out at AWHS!
On Thursday, April 8th, Archbishop Williams hosted its first annual Grandparents Night. Nearly 60 grandparents and AWHS students enjoyed a light reception followed by an evening at the theater. The AWHS Theater Ensemble opened their spring musical production, Home Town, with AWHS grandparents as their honored guests. Principal Mary Lou Sadowski welcomed all the grandparents to this inaugural event, with an open invitation to join the AWHS community. AWHS President, Dr. Carmen Mariano followed her comments with a few "true" stories and especially thanking the grandparents for their greatest gifts- their grandchildren. "It has been said that, ‘Youth is a gift of nature but age is a work of art.' Ladies and Gentlemen, you are works of art. You have painted the picture that is our past and your grandchildren are painting the picture that will be our future."
