AWHS Student Leaders receive Grossman Award

Archbishop Williams Seniors Ryan Earle and Jessica Rega, recently received The Reuben A. & Lizzie Grossman Award at a scholarship luncheon held at the Neighborhood Club in Quincy.

The award is given annually to two students from each area high school who demonstrate leadership and service.  Both Jessica and Ryan received a $750 scholarship.  Since 1956, a total of 1,907 students in South Shore high schools have received the award honoring “high ideals of leadership and service which have been demonstrated through outstanding accomplishments within the community and school, and to promote and encourage youths to place service above self.”

“I am extremely proud of and happy for Ryan and Jessica.  I cannot think of more deserving recipients of this honor,” commented AWHS President Dennis M. Duggan, Jr., Esq. ’70, himself a Grossman Award winner in 1970.
