Archbishop Williams names Katie Frossard New Director of 7th and 8th Grade Program

William Kinsherf appointed AWHS Director of Student Activities

Archbishop Williams High School is very pleased to announce the appointment of Ms. Katie Frossard as the new Director of its 7th and 8th Grade Program.  Ms. Frossard, an AWHS faculty member and 7th and 8th Grade Program lead science teacher, succeeds Lisa Fasano who has been appointed Principal of St. Paul’s grammar/middle school in Hingham. Fasano’s first hire, Ms. Frossard, has been essential in the establishment and success of the popular 7th and 8th Grade Program. As Ms. Fasano’s successor, Ms. Frossard was the top candidate selected to lead the growing program into the future.  Frossard commented, "I am excited to begin the school year not only as a faculty member, but now in the role of Director of the 7th and 8th Grade Program. We have an outstanding staff and I am confident that all of us, as a team, will continue to operate at the level of excellence set last year, pushing students to continue to grow both spiritually and academically. "

Ms. Frossard served as the unofficial “lead teacher” in Grades 7 & 8 last year teaching Science, Theology, and co-directing the AWHS Drama Program.  Dr. Michael Volonnino, AWHS Principal, commented, “Ms. Frossard has the respect of our students and faculty and was our leadership team’s unanimous choice to lead this vital part of AWHS’ future. She will direct the curriculum and instruction for these grades as well as assume some of the discipline and guidance responsibilities.  We could not ask for a better person to take this job.”

“We owe Ms. Lisa Fasano a great debt of gratitude for her tireless work, clear vision and strong leadership in bringing our middle school program to fruition” lauded President Dennis M. Duggan, Jr., Esq. ’70.  “We at AWHS would not have wanted to start down this most important path with any other leader, but we are now poised to take the next steps, and leaps forward and Katie Frossard is the right person to lead us on that exciting journey.”

In her new administrative role, Ms. Frossard will be assisted by Mr. William Kinsherf ’89 who was named AWHS’ first “Director of Student Activities”. In this new position, Mr. Kinsherf will support all AWHS Students and also work with the 7th and 8th Grade to address any student issues that may arise during the year. “Coach K” as he is affectionately known throughout the school will be in charge of co-curricular activities and student life for the entire Grades 7-12 in addition to his role as a faculty member and Head Football Coach.  President Duggan added, “Someone who bleeds Blue and Gold, Bill is the perfect choice to build on and expand the many and varied programs and events that make our school community so nurturing, invigorating and inviting.”

The appointments of Ms. Frossard and Mr. Kinsherf are demonstrative of the commitment of AWHS to provide each student with the best possible support and experience as their Futures Begin at Williams.
