“Learning by Heart...”
The purpose of Campus Ministry at Archbishop Williams High School is to foster and nurture all members of our school community as they learn to live by the goals of our mission statement. As part of a Christian community, we integrate learning with faith while developing the whole person -- spiritually, academically, morally and physically.
The goals of Campus Ministry are:
- to nurture growth in faith for students through retreat experiences
- to build community through Christian leadership development
Campus Ministry works closely with the Theology Department by providing opportunities and activities for students to put their faith into action. The Campus Ministry Department helps students in a formative way to live out the Gospel message and values learned in the classroom.
In the words of one of our students:
"Campus Ministry is not just a group that you belong to. It's a sense of community that is present within the school and brings us together. Through Campus Ministry I have learned to accept myself for who I am and encourage others to do the same. Through its many programs I've learned, not about algebra or chemistry, but about life, God, and myself."
