Starting Notes

  • Note that the popup will always appear on this page (regardless of whether or not it is activated) - it is the only page where you can preview what a final popup will look like
  • To see if the popup is currently live, view the "Activation Summary" above
  • Even though the footer of this page shows images/videos/forms, these blocks are hidden on every other page on this website (nothing to worry about)
  • The popup will only appear on webpages that you list (see below for details)

How it Works - Overview

  • The popup builder is built like a table with three rows
    • Row #1 - Textbar Row
      • Serves as the description and is the area where a person can expand/collapse/close the popup
    • Row #2 - Media Row
      • The media row is where either an image or video appears
        • Note that the mobile version can only show an image (no video)
    • Row # 3 - Form/Button Row
      • This row is where a button or form will appear

The popup is meant to support any size image and it will automatically rescale.  Also, if you don't like the appearance on the desktop version, you can change the height of a row.  This is done by overriding the defaults and you will assign each of the three rows a percentage (that must add up to 100%).  For instance, if you want a longer form and do not need an image or video, you can set the second row (media row) to 0%

Getting Started Instructions

NEVER DO ****VERY IMPORTANT****

  • NEVER DELETE ANYTHING (INCLUDING IMAGE/VIDEO/FORM/LINE BLOCKS) IN THE FOOTER (WHERE YOU STORE VIDEOS/IMAGES/FORMS)
  • If you need a new image or video to be uploaded, simply edit and update the image block that is already there (that is, do not delete and create a new image/video/form block).  This is really the only way that a mistake can be made
  •

Glossary:

  • A/O --> Here, you can enter either ACTIVATED or OFF.  ***ACTIVATED MUST BE IN ALL CAPITAL LETTERS***.  This is switch to turn on and off the popup or a feature of the popup
  • C --> A color in hexcode form or a CSS approved keyword: https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Web/CSS/color_value
  • URLs --> when listing a URL, you MUST include http://www.
  • # --> Here you write a number (no units)
  • S --> Used for border size.  Here you can enter small, medium, large, extra-large or none
  • T _. Text that will appear on the popup.  Remember to limit the number of words for the mobile
  • % -> Different than a number in that you are required to enter a percentage symbol (%)

The easiest way to learn is to try it out.  Again, the popup will appear on this page all the time.  However, it must be activated and assigned to a URL (or multiple URLS)  before it will be seen by the public.

FINAL NOTES

  • If the video is not ACTIVATED, an image will always appear (unless you override this feature on the desktop version by setting the media row to 0%)
  • Rows are organized as follows
    • Row 1 - Textbar Row
    • Row 2 - Media Row (Image or Video)
    • Row 3 - Interactive Row (Forms, Buttons, Donation Buttons, Products, etc...)
  • If you edit a section and it does not appear, make sure that it is ACTIVATED earlier on the page
  • In general, avoid extra spaces and do not use capital letters unless you are writing in a T Field
